Prices for 2026. Children up to age 3 are free on all three.
| Ticket | Adults | Ages 4 to 16 | How to buy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Powerplant Tour | $25 | $15 | At the Visitor Center, or through the online portal |
| Dam Tour | $40 | $40 | On site only, whole group present |

For most visitors, the Powerplant Tour is the simplest choice. It is the cheapest guided option, it takes about 30 minutes plus a short film, and strollers and wheelchairs are allowed. Pick the Dam Tour only if it is running on your day. Pick the self-guided ticket if you want the Visitor Center and the viewing deck at your own pace.
How the tours differ
Lengths are guideline figures, so confirm them on the day.
Powerplant Tour
A guided tour of about 30 minutes plus a 10-minute film. It includes the exhibits, the viewing deck and the original exhibit building. Strollers, wheelchairs and scooters are allowed.
Dam Tour
The longer tour, with a guided part of about one hour plus the film. It does not take strollers or motorized wheelchairs, and the shaft is not accessible by manual wheelchair. Since it is sold on site only, ask at the Visitor Center whether it runs.
Self-guided Visitor Center
You explore the Visitor Center on your own, without a guide. It is a fit if you only want the exhibits and the view down to the dam.
One option outside the official counter is a small-group trip from Las Vegas, which bundles transport with the Powerplant Tour. It is described on the tours page. If you want the walk across the canyon for free, read about the Memorial Bridge.
Security, bags and rules
Everyone passes a check before entering.
The check
Expect a metal detector or a pat-down, and a check of your belongings. You can refuse the inspection, but then you are refused entry.
What you can bring
Water is allowed. Sealed food and drinks may be carried, but eating and drinking inside is not allowed. Bring little, because everything is checked.
What stays at home
Weapons, explosives, fireworks, marijuana and drones are banned. Knives are not allowed inside. Pets may not enter the crown or the buildings, but trained service animals may.
Hours and closures
The Visitor Center and tours run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last tour at 4:10 p.m. They are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
